Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ to hire students for Summer Work Program
Gadsden, Ala. – Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ has received funding from the Alabama Department of Human Resources to employ 9 area students this summer.
The Summer Work Program will provide students with valuable work experience across multiple departments. Positions are available in Student Services at the Valley Street Campus, the Maintenance Department, the Skills Training Department, Student Life, the Business, Legal and Computer Science Department, and the Payroll Department.
The program will run from May 1 and through September 30. Participants will earn $12 per hour and work up to 19 hours per week.
Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 24 and have a household income below 200 percent of the 2025 Federal Poverty Guidelines. Refer to the DHR chart which lists the income limit by household size. Please fill out and attach the Eligibility and Affirmation form to your application.
Students selected for maintenance roles will assist with duties such as lawn care, trash collection, furniture moving and pressure washing. Students in other positions will perform general office tasks including filing, organizing and answering phones.
